3 Kizer TD passes key in Irish rout

Panthers rally to get past Trojans

Central Catholic 41, St. John's 0

DeShone Kizer passed for 190 yards and three touchdowns as Central Catholic (8-0, 5-0) cruised to a road win.

Kizer hit Marcus Winters on TD passes of 64 and 31 yards and found Jermiah Braswell on a 64-yard TD strike.

Tre'von Wade carried the ball 11 times for 149 yards and two touchdowns (4, 74 yards). Charles Smith added a 18-yard touchdown run.

Dick Anderson completed 8 of 14 passes for 89 yards for St. John's (2-6, 2-3). The Titans were held to 64 rushing yards.


Whitmer 27, Findlay 19

The Panthers scored two second-half touchdowns to claim the come-from-behind home win.

Chase Bodeman finished with 160 yards rushing for Whitmer (4-4, 3-2).

Trailing 19-14 at halftime, the Panthers got a one-yard run from Tyler Schneider in the third quarter. Then in the fourth quarter Bodeman, who had a 46-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, scored from 44 yards out.

Whitmer's other score came on a five-yard pass from Matt Winzeler to Chris Boykin.

Findlay's touchdowns were scored by Joe Hammond, who caught a 28-yard pass from Brandon Muehl, and Emanual Mogolu on a 65-yard run.

Grant McKinniss added a 36-yard field goal for the Trojans (2-6, 1-4).


St. Francis 31, Fremont Ross 14

FREMONT — David Nees rushed 29 times for 145 yards and two touchdowns, while passin for another score to lead the Knights.

Nees scored on an eight-yard run in the third quarter and a three-yard run in the fourth quarter. He had a seven-yard TD pass to Tyler Thebes to help build a 17-7 lead at halftime.

Uriah Haun and Ben Root scored TDs for Fremont Ross (4-4, 2-3).

Keontae Johnson scored on a three-yard run less than two minutes into the game for St. Francis, which finished with 200 yards rushing. Drew Stark kicked a field goal for the Knights (5-3, 3-2).


Lima Senior 55, Clay 28

Juniel Liles rushed for 239 yards and four touchdowns (1, 34, 3, and 38 yards) as Lima Senior outlasted Clay on the road.

Liles added a 32-yard TD reception from Justice Graham for the Spartans (5-3, 4-1). Graham passed for 320 yards, including two TD passes to Ruben Flowers and also scampered in from one-yard out.

Ryan Fournier scored an 11-yard TD run for Clay (2-6, 0-5). Aaron Seymour added a three-yard TD run. Josh Pennington (257 yards passing) found Kyle Row on two TD passes (70, 39 yards). Row had 133 yards receiving.
