Bobcats defeat Panthers; Generals pound Wildcats

Bowling Green 31, Maumee 21

BOWLING GREEN — Bowling Green used a balanced offensive attack to hold off Maumee.

Ricky Riggs was 9 of 17 passing for 189 yards and a touchdown and added a one-yard TD run for the Bobcats (3-6, 2-4 NLL). Riggs found Ryan Emans on a 44-yard TD strike.

Riggs completed 9 of 17 passes for 189 yards.

David Espen scored on a five-yard run and Matt Kneesi, who rushed for 72 yards on 18 carries, ran in for a 12-yard score. Andy fisher added a 41-yard field goal.

Jordan Spellis of Maumee (2-7, 1-5) completed 11 of 22 passes for 143 yards and two TDs.

Brian Autry caught one score and Brian Utter caught another. Utter also threw a six-yard TD pass to Jeremy Henneman.

 

Anthony Wayne 52, Northview 16

Anthony Wayne (5-4, 4-2) controlled the game on the ground, churning out 506 rushing yards in a home win.

Josh Schwerer carried 11 times for 149 yards and three touchdowns for the Generals (5-4, 4-2 NLL).

Kyle Aranyosi ran 13 times for 141 yards and a TD and Tyree Hummel rushed for 101 yards, including a 70-yard TD run. Evan Brown added two TDs on his way to 90 yards rushing.

Jake Hartbarger kicked a 27-yard field goal for AW.

Derek Hullibarger accounted for both Northview (2-7, 1-5) TDs, a 48-yard run and a seven-yard catch on a pass from Brendan Pierson. Ross Hanna added a 28-yard field goal.
