All Worked Up

(MS) - Looking for a little privacy during your home workout? If so, you may find that panels of obscure acrylic blocks provide the perfect way to have a private in-home training session.

Acrylic block walls can easily be incorporated into home workout areas to give you privacy while adding style to your home gym area. Different areas of a basement can be partitioned off with acrylic block panels and designated for weight training, tanning beds and exercise equipment, providing individual alcoves of privacy.

We had a large basement and were challenged to find a way to make it multi-functional to serve as a game room and home gym, says Phil Lukert, a Georgia homeowner. We needed to have defined spaces for everyone s needs while still keeping the big room feeling. The acrylic block walls we added not only solved our space issues, but added a designer look to our basement.

The acrylic block panels Lukert used in his basement came pre-fabricated to the exact specifications of his project. He used a combination of floor-to-ceiling radius walls and straight panels to create individual areas in the basement.

One of the best aspects of this project is that the blocks allow light to flow throughout the basement, says Lukert. Adding regular walls would have given the room a trapped in feeling. The acrylic blocks allow light coming in from the windows to fill every corner of the room.
