It seems that the only solutions that are proposed to Toledo's budget woes are tax increases. Everyone wants the deficit problems solved, as long as it doesn't affect him or her.
The unions claimed that they have already agreed to givebacks. That seemed to indicate that they were merely trade-offs for other benefits, and no real sacrifice was involved.
How about having Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur request a federal bailout? These deficits are huge for a declining city such as Toledo. Miss Kaptur has enough pull to get the city and Toledo Public Schools the money that they so desperately need. We don't need any more expensive memorials in Washington.
