New Americans told to be leaders
Hijab-clad Arwa Aglan stood solemnly in front of a federal judge as she pledged allegiance to the United States. “It’s a great day,” Ms. Aglan, originally of Egypt, said. “As a woman, I see that I have a better future and equality here, especially in this community.” Ms. Aglan, 29, who lives in Toledo, was among 32 people, originally from 20 countries, sworn in as U.S. citizens at a naturalization ceremony held Tuesday at the Toledo Club downtown.
