Tip back some pinot on the patio for a good cause

Calling all wine lovers! Tickets are now available for Pinot on the Patio, a fund-raiser sponsored by The Red Shoe Society which supports the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Ohio.

This event, featuring wine tasting and hors d‘oeuvres, will be held at 6 p.m. June 24 and take place simultaneously at several Toledo locations: La Scola Italian Grill, 5375 Airport Hwy.; Burger Bar 419, 4400 Heatherdowns Blvd. and 5215 Monroe St.; and Mama LaScola Italian Kitchen, 6060 Renaissance Pl.. Celebrate strawberries

A celebration of strawberries is coming, from June 11 through June 15. The annual Holland Strawberry Festival will be held at Community Homecoming Park, 7807 Angola Rd., Holland. There is a $3 admission charge, though children 6 years old and younger can enter free of charge. The fun includes a 50/​50 raffle each night, rides (tickets must be purchased), a parade, a three-mile run, music, and a chance to win prizes at the strawberry dessert bake-off. International neighbors

Enjoy the favorite foods, music, and dances of many countries at the Who's My Neighbor? International Festival on June 14 at the WPOS Christian Center, 7112 Angola Rd., Holland, from 11 a.m. till dark. Polish wedding dinner fund-raiser

To help Deacon Michael Pence’s family with medical expenses, a Polish wedding dinner is being served at St. Charles Borromeo School Hall, 1842 Airport Hwy., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 22 to raise funds. For $10 per person, you can enjoy a veritable feast: chicken, kielbasa, sweet and sour cabbage, homemade stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy, dinner rolls, dessert, and a beverage. Dine in, or carry-out will also be available. There will be door prizes and raffles, as well. For tickets or for more information, call 419-535-7077.
