Where to find a flu shot

Looking for a flu shot? Your physician's office is a good place to call first. Many other locations also offer flu shots, including area health departments and senior centers. Some health departments maintain flu shot hotlines. Here are metropolitan Toledo health department contact numbers - or flu shot hotlines - and Web sites:

  • Toledo-Lucas County health department's flu shot hotline: 419-213-4146, or www.lucas countyhealth.com

  • Fulton County health department: 419-337-0915. Call during normal business hours, or www.fultoncountyhealth dept.com

  • Wood County health department: 419-352-8402, or from northern Wood County, 419-244-1610. Call during normal business hours, or www.co.wood.oh.us/healthdepartment, click on "flu" under hot topics.

  • Ottawa County health department: 419-734-6800. Call during normal business hours, 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or www.ottawahealth.org

  • Monroe County health department's flu shot hotline: 734-240-7878, or www.co.monroe.mi.us and go to the "flu clinics" quick links.

  • For those outside of metropolitan Toledo: Check your local phone book for health department listings. The Ohio Department of Health lists the number of every health department in the state on its Web site. Go to www.odh.state.oh.us and click on the "Local Health Districts" link at the top of the page.
