Fulton County clinic to offer flu vaccines

12/1/2006

WAUSEON - Fulton County agencies will sponsor a flu vaccine clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. tomorrow in the Fulton County fairgrounds' junior fair building.

The clinic has more than 500 doses available for anyone age 4 and up and will set up a drive-through line. The fee is $20 a shot with no charge for people eligible for Medicare or Medicaid.

Coordinators are using the event as an exercise for health workers who would be asked to organize a mass clinic in the event of a local health emergency.

The clinic is sponsored by the Fulton County Health Department with assistance from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, Wauseon Police Department, Fulton County Emergency Management Agency, the county Red Cross, Citizens Emergency Response Team, and Medical Reserve Corps.
