Buckeye Community Health Plan, a state-approved Medicaid health provider that was one of five managed-care plans given permission to offer Medicaid services statewide, will relocate in May from its Toledo office to Maumee to accommodate a staff expansion.

Steve White, Buckeye Community president, said the company expects to hire more than 20 workers by year-end to support its growing coverage area. The firm will move to a larger building at 1705 Indian Wood Circle in Maumee’s Arrowhead Park from its site at 3130 Executive Pkwy. in Toledo.

The new hires will be nurses, social workers, and support staff; hiring is expected to start in in August.

Mr. White said more employees are being added at the company’s Columbus headquarters, offices in Cincinnati, and a Cleveland-Akron office.

Buckeye Community is a wholly owned subsidiary of Centene Corp. of St. Louis.
