2 Sylvania schools set blood drive for December

Maplewood and Sylvan Elementary schools and the American Red Cross will sponsor a Pint-Size Hero blood drive.

The schools and the Cross will host the drive on Dec. 10 from 3 to 8 p.m. at Maplewood school, 6769 Maplewood Ave.

Those interested may register ahead to donate. To schedule an appointment, go to redcrossblood.org and insert sponsor code MAPLEWOODPINT, or email Jennifer Ghesquiere at jlh9672@hotmail.com.

The drive needs volunteers to check in donors, entertain children, and manage a snack table. Call 419-699-5737. Child care will be provided while parents donate blood.
