IDA, Mich. — The Monroe County Library System's branch in Ida will close Wednesday to begin the move to its new building, which is behind the current structure at 3014 Lewis Ave.
The old building, a portable classroom that has been in place since 1977, will be demolished to provide room for a parking lot.
The library is expected to open Aug. 24 with longer hours.
The Ida post office will issue a commemorative cancellation stamp in honor of the dedication of the library that day.
