BLISSFIELD, Mich. - Two people were hurt Saturday when their ultralight aircraft crashed into a cornfield.
The pilot, a 50-year-old man, and passenger, an 8-year-old girl, were flown to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. Michigan State Police refused to identify them.
Trooper Dan Thomas said the plane crashed into a field off Blissfield Highway north of Rouget Road about 6:30 p.m. The crash was suspected to be a result of mechanical failure, Trooper Thomas said.
