ANN ARBOR, Mich. Picketing graduate student instructors at the University of Michigan have halted two construction projects.

The instructors started a two-day walkout in a wage and benefit dispute on Tuesday. The Graduate Employees Organization have set up picket lines at Michigan Stadium and the business school.

The Ann Arbor News reports the union representing 1,700 instructors and staff assistants also planned to picket classroom buildings and vowed not to teach.

A bargaining session ended Monday night, and no new sessions have been scheduled.
