ANN ARBOR - Michigan lost for the first time this year and for the third straight time to Michigan State, by a 34-17 margin Saturday at the Big House.

Denard Robinson threw three interceptions, including two in the end zone, and the Spartans scored on five straight possessions bridging the second and third quarters.

This marks the first time MSU has won three straight in this rivalry since 1965-67.

No. 17 MSU (6-0, 2-0) struck often with big plays, scoring a pair of 41-yard touchdowns and another of 61 yards.

UM (5-1, 1-1) plays Iowa at home next Saturday.

Robinson threw for one touchdown - to Martell Webb - and ran for another in what amounts to his worst performance of 2010. He completed 17 of 29 passes for 215 yards and rushed for 86 yards on 21 carries.
