UM's Troy Woolfolk back on the field

ANN ARBOR --- Michigan cornerback Troy Woolfolk (ankle) ran with his teammates Sunday and was able to do everything the coaches asked of him, head coach Brady Hoke said Monday.

Woolfolk sprained his ankle in the second quarter of Saturday's win against San Diego State and did not return. It was the same ankle Woolfolk sprained in the season opener against Western Michigan.

The Wolverines, ranked No. 19 in this week's Associated Press poll, begin the Big Ten season Saturday against 1-3 Minnesota, which is coming off of a 13-point loss to North Dakota State of the Championship Subdivision.

Hoke and Gophers coach Jerry Kill have a good relationship dating back to the days when they coached against each other in the Mid-American Conference. Kill re-admitted himself to the hospital Sunday to undergo testing for seizures and may not be released to coach in Saturday's game.

In other news, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was named Big Ten offensive player of the week for the second time this season after rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns Saturday.
