Michigan's defense coordinator Mattison has raises set for 4 years

ANN ARBOR - Michigan football defensive coordinator Greg Mattison will receive a base pay increase for the next four seasons.

Mattison will earn a base salary of $250,000 through Dec. 31 and an additional $550,000, and his base salary will increase each year: $285,000 in 2014, $325,000 in 2015 and and $365,000 in 2016.

Mattison will also receive a $200,000 stay bonus if he remains continuously employed thru Dec. 31 2016.

Michigan announced Mattison's contract extension March 15 but did not disclose terms of the extension. The Blade obtained Mattison's contract extension today through an FOIA request.
