ANN ARBOR -- The Michigan football program announced this afternoon that safety Thomas Gordon will serve a one-game suspension for a violation of team rules.
Gordon, a fifth-year senior, will not dress for today's game against Central Michigan at Michigan Stadium, Michigan's season opener.
Gordon had 81 tackles in 13 games last season and was expected to be a starter today. Josh Furman, a redshirt junior, is listed as the No. 2 strong safety behind Gordon on Michigan's depth chart.
