    FINAL

    ANN ARBOR - Ameer Abdullah's 5-yard touchdown catch with 2:03 left in the fourth quarter helped Nebraska to a 17-13 win over Michigan today at Michigan Stadium.

    Michigan gained only 21 yards on its final drive, and on fourth and 5 from the Michigan 41, Devin Gardner's pass skidded past Drew Dileo in coverage and ultimately ended Michigan's 19-game home winning streak.

    Gardner finished 18 for 27 passing for 197 yards and a touchdown, and Michigan finished with negative-21 yards rushing. Abdullah led Nebraska (7-2, 4-1 Big Ten) with 105 yards on 27 carries.

    Michigan (6-3, 2-3 Big Ten) plays at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 16 at Northwestern in Evanston, Ill.

     

    THIRD QUARTER

    Five minutes into the third quarter, Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner completed a 10-play drive by finding Devin Funchess in the back of the end zone to help the Wolverines tie the game at 10-10 with Nebraska.

    Funchess caught a 5-yard pass for the only touchdown of the third quarter.

    Whitmer graduate and UM defensive end Chris Wormley recovered a fumble at the Nebraska 33-yard-line with less than a minute left in the third to set up Michigan's drive going into the fourth quarter.

     

    HALFTIME

    Brendan Gibbons's 27-yard field goal helped Michigan cut Nebraska's lead to 10-3 with 11:47 left in the half today at Michigan Stadium.

    Michigan was unable to produce any substantial yardage in its final drive of the first half, despite starting at the Nebraska 42-yard-line, and the Wolverines finished with 60 yards of offense at the half, including negative-10 yards rushing.

    Ameer Abdullah leads Nebraska with 68 yards on 15 carries. Jeremy Gallon leads Michigan with five catches for 49 yards, and quarterback Devin Gardner is 7 for 10 passing for 70 yards at the half.

     

    FIRST QUARTER

    Ameer Abdullah's 8-yard touchdown with 2:50 left in the first quarter has helped Nebraska to a 10-0 lead over Michigan today at Michigan Stadium.

    Pat Smith's 21-yard field goal less than seven minutes into the game gave the Cornhuskers a 3-0 lead.

    The Huskers sacked Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner twice in the first, and the Wolverines finished the first quarter with 31 yards, including negative-10 yards rushing.
