Notes: Devin Gardner is officially out for Michigan, and Shane Morris is officially in. Morris, a true freshman, replaces Gardner at quarterback and will earn his first collegiate start. Morris is 5 for 9 for 65 yards with one interception in four games this season, with the bulk of his playing time in relief of Gardner. … Michigan coach Brady Hoke reiterated that Gardner won’t be available because of turf toe, and dismissed the possibility that Gardner has a broken bone in his foot. Hoke also said that other than Gardner and kicker Brendan Gibbons, who did not travel to Arizona because of a family issue, Michigan’s entire roster will be available against Kansas State. … Michigan receiver Jeremy Gallon has 80 catches for 1,284 yards and is 47 yards shy of setting the single-season receiving record at Michigan. Braylon Edwards set the school record of 1,330 yards in 2004. ... Kansas State has utilized two quarterbacks through the course of the season, Daniel Sams and Jake Waters. Daniel Sams has been counted on as part of the Wildcats’ running game (148 carries for 784 yards, 11 touchdowns), while Waters steers the passing game (138 of 233 passing for 2,198 yards and 15 touchdowns, nine interceptions). … Tyler Lockett leads K-State’s receivers with 71 catches for 1,146 yards and eight touchdowns, and leads the Big 12 in all-purpose yards (1,665), as he’s also the Wildcats’ top kickoff returner.
