Katie Holmes seen with Josh Hartnett in New York

According to the New York Post and the MSNBC Web site, Toledo s own Katie Holmes, 26, recently was seen at a Manhattan hotspot with Sin City s Josh Hartnett, also 26.

But their representatives deny they are a couple. I do know that Josh and Katie are friends and have been for a long time, Hartnett s publicist told MSN Entertainment, adding that Hartnett is in Bulgaria shooting The Black Dahlia. I doubt they are dating.

Holmes spokeswoman said, I can say they are friends.

Holmes and Chris Klein announced the end of their nearly five-year relationship in early March, a little more than a year after they got engaged (a wedding date was never set). Holmes is currently living in New York, where she s been shooting the black comedy Thank You for Smoking.
