From Hollywood classics to avant-garde international films and documentaries, fall brings movie events for every cinematic taste. Here’s a list of film festivals and screening events through the end of the year.

Oct. 21: The Light in Her Eyes (2011, documentary), in partnership with University of Toledo, with a discussion featuring Sarah Anjum, scholar of Near Eastern Studies.

Documentary Society of St. Andrew’s

The Documentary Society meets at 6 p.m. the second Sunday of each month at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, 2770 W. Central Ave., to watch and discuss a variety of important, controversial, eclectic, and entertaining documentaries. The screenings are free and open to the public and pizza is available for a small donation.
