Tigers put Robertson on DL, call up French from Mud Hens

DETROIT The Detroit Tigers have placed left-handed reliever Nate Robertson on the 15-day DL and are calling up pitcher Luke French from Triple-A Toledo.

The team said Thursday Robertson will be on the disabled list retroactive to May 6 with a lower-back muscle strain.

French will be in uniform for the Tigers game Thursday at Minnesota. The lefty has posted a 2-2 record in six starts with the Mud Hens, with a 2.91 ERA and 29 strikeouts.
