INDIANAPOLIS — All nine Mud Hens recorded hits, including five for extra bases, as Toledo pounded Indianapolis 10-1 last night at Victory Field.

The Indians jumped on the board first in the second inning when catcher Luke Carlin tagged pitcher Phil Dumatrait for an RBI single.

But the lead didn't last long.

Toledo's Brennan Boesch hit an infield single to score Will Rhymes in the top of the third.

Toledo's Max Leon hit a one-out triple in the fourth and scored on a base hit by Danny Worth to give the Mud Hens a 2-1 lead. Rhymes followed with a drive over rightfielder Brandon Jones to score Worth.

The score remained close until the top of the eighth when the Mud Hens batted through the order.

Boesch got the fireworks started when he connected for his third home run on the season.

After Larish, Wells, and Jeff Frazier all singled, Leon walked to extend the Hens' lead 5-1. Mike Rabelo singled to drive in Wells and a walk forced in Frazier. Brent Dlugach then singled to extend the Hens lead 9-1.

Phil Dumatrait (1-0) picked up the win after five effective innings. Scot Drucker earned the save.
