The Mud Hens saw a five-run lead dissolve in a combination of rain, shoddy defense, and a bullpen blowout as Rochester claimed a 10-6 win at Fifth Third Field Saturday night.

Toledo battered Rochester starter Glen Perkins for two runs in each of the first two innings. Scott Sizemore led off the first with a single, and Wilkin Ramirez slammed the first pitch he saw from Perkins onto Monroe Street for his first home run for the Hens this season.

In the second Casper Wells led off with a long home run to right-center, his team-leading 10th this year.

Brent Dlugach singled, then raced around to third on Max Leon's groundout before coming home on a double by Robinzon Diaz off Perkins, who won 12 games for the Twins in 2008.

Sizemore drew a walk, and then the rains came.

After a 49-minute rain delay, the Mud Hens' offense sputtered. Toledo did get an RBI single by Jeff Frazier that scored Diaz following the delay, but the Hens managed just five hits and two runs in 72/3 innings after the delay.

The Hens had collected five hits and four runs in just 11/3 innings before the rain.

And Toledo starter L.J. Gagnier, who allowed just one harmless hit before the rain, struggled afterwards.
