PAWTUCKET, R.I. — Toledo batters rapped out 12 hits to support another impressive pitching perfomance for a 7-1 victory over Pawtucket.

Gilbert De La Vara started for the Mud Hens and went 51/3 strong innings, allowing six hits, one run, walking one, and striking out five for his first win against one loss.

Josh Rainwater, and Daniel Schlereth followed, allowing no runs, and three hits in 22/3 innings.

Jay Sborz came in to finish the game in the ninth. A walk and a single put two men on with none out, before he settled down to close the door with two strikeouts and a fly ball out.

Jeff Frazier (2-for-3) and Ben Guez (2-for-4) each drove in three runs for Toledo.

Guez got the Hens off to a good start with his bases-loaded triple in the third. Frazier had singled in the first run in the third, then got two more home with his 20th home run in the ninth.

Robinzon Diaz singled to open the third, and Scott Sizemore followed with a walk. Will Rhymes advanced the pair on a sacrifice, which was followed by Frazier's first RBI. With two out, Wilkin Ramirez was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Guez.

Sizemore led off the Toledo sixth with his sixth home run.

The Red Sox's lone run came in the third after two were out. Noman Romero walked, stole second and came home on a double by Aaron Bates.

The Hens play at Pawtucket tonight and Thursday before returning home Friday.
