INDIANAPOLIS — Three was the magic number for the Toledo Mud Hens in their 5-1 win over host Indianapolis Wednesday night.

Three Hens — Will Rhymes, Danny Worth, and Ben Guez — had a multi-hit game while the squad stole three bases for the team’s third win in its last four games.

Britton, Mich. product, lefty Duane Below earned his ninth win of the season (9-4) as he allowed a single run while striking out four over seven innings.

The Mud Hens (36-52) leapt out to a 1-0 lead over the Indians when Ryan Strieby laced a RBI single to left field that scored Rhymes.

Indianapolis (44-44) tied things up at 1-1 in the bottom of the third when John Bowker grounded into a run-scoring fielder’s choice.

In the fifth, rehabbing Detroit Tiger Carlos Guillen’s two-run double put the Hens up for good at 3-1 and Cale Iorg added an insurance run in the sixth when his sacrifice fly pushed Guez across home plate.

Guillen finished the game 1-for-4 in the win.

The Hens’ final run of the contest came in the eighth inning when Rhymes singled in Iorg.

Rhymes was 3-for-5 with an RBI, Worth was 2-for-3 with two walks while Guez was 2-for-4, both doubles. Guez’s two doubles give him a total of 14 on the season.

Rhymes, Iorg, and Worth all swiped bases for the Mud Hens, who travel to Columbus for a two-game series starting Thursday night at 7 before hosting the Clippers beginning Saturday.
