DURHAM, N.C. -- A four-run fifth inning opened up a large lead for the Toledo Mud Hens Monday night en route to a 6-2 win over the Durham Bulls.

The win snaps the Hens three-game losing streak and improves the team to 47-57 overall.

Adam Wilk pitched 5⅔ innings, allowing eight hits, but just two runs -- one earned -- while striking out six and not giving up a walk to even his season record to 5-5.

Brandan Wise and Enrique Gonzalez went the rest of the way, striking out five Bulls batters while allowing just one hit.

Four Hens batters had a multi-hit game, led by Will Rhmyes going 3 for 5 while Jeff Salazar, Timo Perez, and Scott Thorman each had two hits in the win.

Jeff Kunkel put the Hens on the board in the third with a solo homer. The Hens took a 2-0 lead two batters later, when Salazar's double to right field scored Rhymes.

In the fourth, Ryan Strieby got things started with a ground out that scored Rhymes. The Hens took a 4-0 lead when Salazar, whom was on third, darted home, when a pickoff throw by Durham's catcher sailed into the outfield. Casper Wells tripled to center field to score Strieby. Thorman plated the Hens final run of the inning on a RBI single to hand Toledo a 6-0 advantage.
