ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Four Mud Hens pitchers combined on a seven-hit shutout as Toledo beat Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 3-0 today.

Brooks Brown, Rob Waite, Darin Downs and Chris Bootcheck held the Yankees scoreless to snap the Hens' five-game losing streak. Waite earned the win to improve to 2-1, while Bootcheck got the final three outs for his 10th save.

Toledo scored all three runs in the seventh thanks to a two-run single by Eric Patterson and a sacrifice fly by Bryan Holaday.

The Mud Hens begin an eight-game homestand Friday with the first of four games against Buffalo, with first pitch at 7 p.m.
