The Hens were limited to three hits and two walks by Bats starter Chad Reineke and a pair of relievers and did not score until the ninth, when they scored without the benefit of a hit. That gives them a 42-68 record, the worst record in the International League.

The lack of offense made a loser of Toledo starter Casey Crosby, who gave up just three hits and two walks in eight strong innings. The lone run he gave up came on a home run by DiDi Gregorius, his fifth third season. The Bats added a pair of runs in the ninth on a two-run homer by Cody Puckett, his seventh this season and second in as many days.

The two teams will play the third game in their four-game series Monday at 7 p.m.
