Dorn’s four hits catapult Hens to victory

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A five-run seventh inning spurred the Toledo Mud Hens to a 10-6 road win at Lehigh Valley on Saturday.

It was a second consecutive win for the Mud Hens following a six-game losing streak.

Alex Avila, Mike Cervenak, Danny Dorn, and Brandon Douglas drove in runs in the seventh to help Toledo (34-50) go from trailing by one run to leading by four.

The inning was highlighted by Dorn’s two-run single to right field. Dorn was 4-for-4 with a double and a home run and three RBIs.

Douglas drove in Dorn and Danny Worth drove in Douglas in the fifth to give Toledo a 5-3 lead, but Lehigh Valley (43-39) responded with a three-run rally in the bottom of the frame.

Blaine Hardy won his first game of the season for Toledo, pitching 1 1/3 innings in relief of starter Ramon Garcia, who went 4 2/3 innings and allowed five earned runs on 12 hits while striking out four.

Nick Catellanos went 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI in the win while Ben Guez, Avila and Cervenak each had two hits apiece.
