DETROIT — The Detroit Tigers have cleared the way for Robbie Ray to make his major league debut.

The Tigers took first baseman Jordan Lennerton off their 40-man roster, outrighting his contract to Triple-A Toledo today.

Ray is listed as the probable pitcher for Tuesday night’s game at home against the Houston Astros. The left-hander was a key part of the offseason trade that sent right-hander Doug Fister to the Washington Nationals.
