Mud Hens win 7-2 over Rochester
5/9/2014The Mud Hens opened an eight-game homestand with a 7-2 victory over Rochester at Fifth Third Field tonight.
Toledo scored three times in the second, one in the third, two in the fifth and a run in the seventh. Mike Hessman hit his ninth home run of the year, while Tyler Collins had three of the Hens' 10 hits.
Because of a 1:17 rain delay in the fourth, the Mud Hens used five pitchers to keep the Red Wings in check, limiting them to two runs on nine hits.
