Mud Hens beat Durham 12-4

Toledo scored multiple runs in four different innings to pound out a 12-4 win over Durham at Fifth Third Field tonight.

The Mud Hens scored five runs in the first, three more in the second and two in both the fourth and sixth to win for the fifth time in seven games.

Eugenio Suarez nearly hit for the cycle to lead the Hens, finishing with a homer, double and single as well as a walk.

Toledo starter Robbie Ray did not survive the fourth, but Chad Smith earned the win by allowing just one hit in 1.2 innings. Jose Ortega retired the final nine Durham batters to earn the save.
