Toledo catcher James McCann went 4 for 5 with three RBIs, including his second home run of the season, in the Mud Hens’ 5-4 victory over Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Sunday afternoon in Moosic, Pa. It was the third four-hit game this season for McCann.

Only two other Mud Hens players, Ezequiel Carrera (1) and Hernan Perez (3), have had four-hit games this season.

The Hens had 12 hits in the International League game, while McCann was just a triple away from hitting for the cycle. McCann's 23 RBIs rank him third on the team behind Mike Hessman and Tyler Collins.

Carrera and Jordan Lennerton each had two hits in the game for Toledo. Carrera also stole his 24th base.

Hens starter Duane Below (4-1, 4.02 ERA) picked up the win, giving up one run in six innings. He struck out three and walked one. Kevin Whelan earned his ninth save, despite giving up a run in the ninth inning.

Zach Nuding (2-4, 6.25) was the starter and loser for the RailRiders, giving up three earned runs and six hits in four innings.

Pat Venditte (3.86) pitched the final three scoreless innings for the Yankees’ farm team, striking out three. Venditte is the only ambidextrous pitcher in professional baseball. He is a natural right-hander, but has thrown with both arms since the age of 3. He uses a six-finger glove with two thumbholes.
