Mud Hens' Perez named IL player of the week
6/16/2014Mud Hens shortstop Hernan Perez was named International League player of the week, the league announced today.
Perez hit .500 in six games for Toledo last week, with his 12 hits including five doubles, a triple and a home run to give him a .917 slugging percentage. Perez scored eight runs and had six RBIs and also walked twice for a .538 on-base percentage.
For the season Perez is batting .280 with three home runs and 26 RBIs.
