The Mud Hens will turn Fifth Third Field into a miniature golf course in late September.

The Links at Fifth Third Field will be open to the public Sept. 25-28, featuring 18 holes of miniature golf on the field.

It will mark the first time a minor league field has been turned into a miniature golf course.

Head groundskeeper Jake Tyler and his staff will need two weeks to cut the course into the turf after the team’s last home game on Aug. 27.

Admission is $15 with a portion of the proceeds benefiting area charities. Each player will receive a souvenir Links at Fifth Third Field golf ball. The Hens will be taking reservations to play the course Aug. 4 by calling 419-725-HENS (4367).
