Shawn Hill, who pitched for the Mud Hens last season, has signed a minor-league contract and will rejoin the team.
Last season Hill made 26 starts for Toledo and was 4-14 with a 5.51 ERA, striking out 84 and walking 47 in 150.1 innings.
This season the 33-year-old right-hander began the season in Toronto's minor-league system, pitching for Double-A New Hampshire (0-2, 5.09 ERA) and Triple-A Buffalo (2-1, 4.85 ERA). He then signed with the White Sox and pitched in 10 games for Triple-A Charlotte, going 2-4 with a 4.81 ERA.
Hill has spent parts of seven different seasons in the majors with Montreal, Washington, San Diego and Toronto.
