The final competition for the eighth annual Black Swamp Blues Society's Blues Challenge will start at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Ohio Theatre, 3112 Lagrange St. The finalists, in playing order, are Buck 69, Josh Boyd & the VIP Band, Tom Turner & Slow Burn, 427, Simon Carter, and Rick Hall & the Blues Healers. The winning band will represent the society and the Toledo area in the band catagory in the International Blues Challenge Feb. 3-5, 2005. Admission is $8.

The winner of the solo/duo night was Patrick Lewandowski, who will also represent Toledo.
