Spirit of the Dance returns to the Valentine Theatre for a performance at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Valentine Theatre, 400 North Superior St. Irish in orgin, the show weaves together the sensual Latin styles of Flamenco, Salsa and Tango with the precision of tap, ballroom and Irish dance. Seals and Seal, starring England Dan & Jim Seals will take the stage at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Ritz Theatre, 30 South Washington St., Tiffin. The two brothers, became the two duos yielding some of the most memorable hits ever. Jim Seals performed with Seals & Crofts, and Dan Seals performed with England Dan and John Ford Coley. Elvis Presley's Sweet Sweet Spirit Fan club will host The Toledo Elvis Festival this weekend at the Zenobia Shrine, 1511 Madison Ave. Special guests include DJ Fontana, The Stamps Quartet, and The Sweet Inspirations, Jerry Schilling, Ed Bonja, Stephen Christopher and Sirius DJ Doc Walker. A benefit concert with a tribute anthology by Robert Rosencrantz, Mike Albert, Matt King and Leo Day and the Roustabout Show Band is also scheduled. Elvis memorabilia will also be on display, along with a karaoke contest. Proceeds benefit the Earth Angel Foundation, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and the Shriners Hospital Fund. Blue Grass With Class, a bluegrass festival presented by Pina and Robert White, will be held this weekend at the Holiday Inn, State Rt. 2 and U.S. 250 in Sandusky. New Works Writers Series will present a staged reading from the play Who Will Sing for Lena? at a wine-tasting event at 8 p.m. Saturday at The Blueprint, 1919 Monroe St. Written by Dr. Janice Liddel Clark, Atlanta University professor, playwright, and native of Toledo, the play commemorates the 60th anniversary of Lena Baker, an African American domestic, who on March 5, 1945, became the first and only woman to die in Georgia's electric chair.
