A free concert by Bowling Green State University student composers will be presented tonight at 8, during the Student Composers Forum, in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at BGSU. On Wednesday at 8 p.m. in Bryan Hall there will be a continuation of the BGSU Faculty Artist Series featuring flutist Nina Assimakopoulos and pianist Laura Melton, in a free concert of works by Bach, Phillipe Gaubert, Kenneth Laufer, and Paul Schoenfield.
The Threshold Student Festival of Electroacoustic Music will take place in Bryan Recital Hall of the Moore Musical Arts Center at BGSU tomorrow and Saturday. The festival will feature works for tape alone, instrument and tape, interactive computer, solo laptop, and video, all by students from BGSU, Ball State University, the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, Indiana University, Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Michigan. Two instrumental groups at Terra Community College are looking for new members for spring quarter. The groups, the Terra Brass Choir and the Terra Thunder Jazz Ensemble, are open to students, music teachers, and the community. The Terra Brass Choir rehearses Mondays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. in the music wing of Building D. The Terra Thunder Jazz Ensemble rehearses Thursdays from 6 to 8:30 p.m. beginning March 31 in the music wing.
