Indianapolis folk singer at local coffee house

Indianapolis folk singer Kit Malone will bring his mix of folk, blues, country rock, and social commentary to Brewed Awakenings, 2636 West Central Ave., tonight at 9. The show is free and Malone will be selling copies of his latest disc, "Yolonda" for $10.

His music has been described as influenced by Gram Parsons, Leonard Cohen, and Nick Cave. Music from his first disc, "Unburden," on Higher Step Records, has been featured on National Public Radio's All Songs Considered: Open Mic. Information: 419-474-5939.
