Father-son duo Steve Mizer, left, and Stephen Mizer.

Lineup and instruments: Father-son duo Stephan Mizer, drums/guitar/vocals, and Steve Mizer, keyboard/drums/vocals.

Year band was formed: We did a fund-raiser for the Evergreen High School track in 2009, and got back together for The Blade's Battle of the Bands competition.

Style of music: Classic pop tunes, with a dose of the Beatles and our own original songs.

Sounds a little like: We take our cover picks, change them to fit our duo format, and try to make the songs interesting.

Influences: The Beatles, Ben Folds, John Mayer. ... Both guys soak up a vast array of styles: rock, funk, jazz, pop, alt-country. It's all good!

Favorite venue: We had a blast at the Lighthouse. The true answer to this question is, we'd like to be playing for a big crowd in downtown Toledo.

Any CDs released?: Nothing commercially, but both guys have large catalogs of their own recorded original material. Steve has self-released many CDs with the Heelees and as Eeven Steeven.
