Event to honor musician, benefit NW Ohio Hospice

3/24/2011

Some of Toledo's most well-known musicians and bands will play Sunday at the Village Idiot in Maumee to honor Neil Light, a local attorney who died in February of cancer.

Money raised from the event at the 309 Conant St. club will be donated to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.

Many in Toledo knew Light through his band, The Kirbys, a vintage rock band that played numerous charity events in Toledo. A $5 donation will be asked for at the door and all the money will go to the hospice organization.

Music begins at 4 p.m. with Old State Line and continues with Voodoo Libido at 5; Kentucky Chrome at 6; the Mark Mikel Band featuring Chris Shutters at 7; Jeff Stewart and the 25s at 8, and The Kirbys at 9.
