Up For Grabs

Lineup: Steve Mizer, keyboards, vocals; Jeff McClung, guitar, drums, vocals; Jim Mack, bass, vocals; Joe Ziegler, drums, percussion, vocals; and Luke Vossen, guitar, vocals.

Year formed: 1988

Style of music: Rock, pop, blues, classic B-sides, and what we like to call German-Italian rock.

Sounds a little like: Carlos Santana jamming with Delbert McClinton, while Greg Allman and Paul McCartney riff with Joe Cocker and Rare Earth.

Influences: We are easily influenced. It all began with the Beatles, didn't it?

Favorite local venues: Centennial Terrace, Russ's Roadhouse, The Southbriar party room, and Joe's basement, where all of our man-cave ideas are tossed about. UFG will be performing on July 8 at Centennial Terrace and July 23 at Russ's Roadhouse.

CDs: (As the Heelees), "Three Heads are Better Than One" (1999), "Kazillionaires" (2001), and "40 Weeks" (2007). (As Eeven Steeven), "Gray Matter" (1987), "Eeven Steeven" (1989), "Odd Man Out" (1991), "Love, Hope and Emotion" (1994), "Spontaneous Combustion" (2006), "Beautiful Eevening" (2008), and "Fall to Forever" (2010). The musicians are UpForGrabs members on all of this music, we just use different monikers for the two different recording lines because of different styles.
