Country star Mattea to perform Jan. 18 in Monroe

MONROE — Grammy and Country Music Association award-winner Kathy Mattea is to perform at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 18 at the La-Z-Boy Center Meyer Theater, Monroe County Community College has announced.

Reserved seating is $25 and VIP seating is $35.

Mattea, a native of West Virginia, is known for Top-20 radio hits including “Where’ve You Been?” the bluesy “455 Rocket,” and “Eighteen Wheels and a Dozen Roses.” Her 17 albums are woven with bluegrass, gospel, and Celtic influences and have garnered multiple Country Music Association, Academy of Country Music, and Grammy awards.
