Spotlight: The Fossil Creek Band

Lineup: Dave Borkowski; guitar, vocals; Janet Hudson, banjo, vocals; Tom Galbraith, mandolin, vocals; David Moore, Jr., fiddle, vocals; Ron Lawson, bass, vocals.

Style of music: High-energy acoustic with a musical style rooted in the rich harmonies and instrumentation of bluegrass and Americana music.

Influences: Nashville Bluegrass Band, Alison Krauss & Union Station, The Tony Rice Unit, Doc Watson, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, and too many others to mention.

Sounds a little like: Alison Krauss & Union Station, Steep Canyon Rangers, but mostly we just sound like ourselves.

Favorite local venues: The Glass City Opry; The Flying Joe Coffee Shop; Ohio, Michigan, and Indiana county fairs and festivals.
