'Sesame Street' comes to Toledo

Elmo is leaving Sesame Street and heading to the SeaGate Convention Centre where he'll be singing, dancing, and making music with his new music teacher Jenny. Sesame Street Live: Elmo Makes Music, opens at 7 p.m. Friday. Other shows are scheduled for Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and 2 and 5:30 p.m. On Sunday, shows begin at 1 and 4:30 p.m.

The stage play will follow Elmo and his classmates as they discover musical "instruments" they never knew existed, including rubber duckies, trash can lids, and even cookie jars. Tickets are $13, $15, $19, $26, and $51 and can be purchased at the Huntington Center box office or online at ticketmaster.com.

Country songbird Kellie Pickler is bringing her "Red High Heels" to Tiffin. Pickler, who is a contestant on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, was first recognized as one of the six finalists in the fifth season of the popular reality TV show American Idol. She will perform at 7:30 p.m. at the Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington Street, Tiffin. Tickets range from $40 to $65 and can be purchased at ritztheatre.org or by calling 419-448-8544.

Elvis fans across Toledo will unite Saturday to celebrate the King of Rock and Roll during an all-day festival. The Toledo Elvis Festival will run from 2 to 11 p.m. at St. Clement Hall, 2990 Tremainsville Rd. The event will feature live music, food, and vendors. Scheduled performers include Anthony Shore, Matt King, Chris Solano, Nick Gutierrez, Joey Diaz, Walt Sanders, and the Roustabout Show Band.
