The Cairn University Chorale, a visiting singing group from Langhorne, Pa., will join the University of Toledo Concert Chorale in a free, public concert at 7 p.m. today in the UT Center for Performing Arts Recital Hall. On Wednesday, the Cairn choir will sing a 6:30 p.m. program during services at the South Toledo Community Center, 1411 Broadway.

Tonight’s concert will comprise separate performances of sacred and secular classics by both groups, with a joint performance to close the evening.

David Shockey leads the Cairn group, one of several ensembles at the Christian college in the Philadelphia area. Stephen Hodge, UT choral faculty, will conduct the UT ensemble.

The Cairn group, which is in Toledo during its annual spring vacation tour, will sing on Wednesday during the regular worship service of Western Avenue Ministries, led by Pastor David Kaiser.
