While knights were jousting, vikings walked around Fort Meigs, and a Mark Twain impersonator was being interviewed by local residents on Father's Day.
The Muster on the Maumee annual event was this weekend at Fort Meigs and re-enactors of soldiers from 10 centuries were there to show off different eras of uniforms, style of warfare, and weapon demonstrations.

Weapons included the English longbow, German pikes, Civil War and Vietnam War weapons, jousting, and artillery.
It wasn't all war history, though, as historian Eric Rotsinger, of Van Wert, acted as famous author Mark Twain.
Fort Meigs Director Rick Finch said it is one of the fort's biggest events of the year because of its diverse amount of re-enactors.
On top of demonstrations and reenactments, the weekend had some hands on experiences. German pikers brought shorter pikes to let the public use some and the reenactors showed maneuvers and attacks with them.
"It is a great Father's Day program," Mr. Finch said. He said the event has been held for 12 to 15 years on Father's Day weekend.
