Auditions

The Ritz Players will hold auditions at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday for Young Frankenstein in Gundlach Theatre at Heidelberg University, 318 E. Perry St., Tiffin. Performance dates at the Ritz Theatre are Oct. 31.-Nov. 3. Information: 448-8544 or ritztheatre.org.

The University of Toledo Department of Theatre and Film will hold auditions for its fall plays from 6 to 10 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the Center for Performing Arts Studio Theatre. The department will be auditioning for the following plays: Fox Hunt and Strip Tease, and Out to Lunch. Auditioneers need to sign up for a time slot. The sheet is outside the main office in the Center for Performing Arts. Performance dates for Fox Hunt and Strip Tease are Oct. 11-20; Out to Lunch, Nov. 15-24. Free workshop

The Waterville Playshop is hosting a free Audition Workshop from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Zion Lutheran Church, 22 N. Second St., Waterville. Tips on how to audition well, what to expect when auditioning, and a demonstration of good audition skills are scheduled. Those interested in auditioning for high school or community theater productions are welcome. Information: watervilleplayshop.org.

Open house

The River Raisin Centre for the Arts will host an open house from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday for people to talk with faculty and students, and to explore the theater, 114 S. Monroe St., Monroe. Fund-raiser

Fremont Community Theatre will present a one-night encore performance of Love Letters at 8 p.m. Saturday in the theater, 1551 Dickinson St., Fremont. The reception begins at 7:30 p.m. with hors d'oeuvres. A coffee and dessert bar will be available during intermission. Proceeds from the event will help defray the cost of this traveling production.
